Lucas Nicholas

The Story of Lucas Nicholas

This is the story of Lucas Nicholas, a young, down-to-earth singer-songwriter from North Holland.

During an extended stay in Australia, searching for the unknown and himself, everything suddenly clicked. Music had always been a part of his life, instilled in him from a young age by his father. At that moment, Lucas decided to chase his biggest dream and step into the studio.

Together with Jeroen Tenty and Eric Lensink from MI5 Studios in Hoorn, Lucas has already recorded an entire album. Inspired by legends like John Mayer and Ed Sheeran, and gifted with a voice that stands out from the crowd, he is now sharing his own musical story.

His debut single, ‘Someone Else’, reflects on a difficult period from his youth. A soul-pop track for those who sometimes feel they have to pretend to be someone they’re not, as if they’ve lost themselves. ‘Someone Else’ is about rediscovering yourself, just as Lucas did. His message is clear: always stay true to who you are—because then, no bridge is too far to cross.

His second studio single, ‘Story’, was released on February 17 this year, continuing the musical journey he has embarked on. A story with a clear beginning, but no defined end just yet.

"This is the story that I want to tell
This is a story that will revel your mind
I put my heart on the line and yet with nothing to find
I found a way to survive."

Sam Saxton

Guitarist and singer Sam Saxton has been immersed in music since the age of twelve. Born in 1993 to American-Dutch parents, she was deeply influenced from a young age by American pop music from the 1970s.

At just 15 years old, she won the HIT (interschool talent competition in the Kennemerland region) and later performed at the first edition of the Haarlem Singing Festival. She also participated in NH Pop, played at the Liberation Festival Haarlem, and performed on the main stage at Paradiso in the Singer-Songwriter Café.

Determined to take her craft to the next level, Sam made the bold decision to step away from her top-level hockey career and fully dedicate herself to music.

Alongside her musical and life partner, guitarist Bas Kors, she focused on writing original songs, which would later be compiled into her debut album. The album was largely recorded and completed during the pandemic, with the support of Jeroen Tenty and Eric Lensink (Tom Knol, Beans and Fatback). Their influence helped capture the romantic essence of 1970s music in her autobiographical songs.

Her album, “Take A Ride,” is set to be released in 2023, preceded by multiple single releases.

Laura van Kaam

"I’ve Said It All" by Laura van Kaam is a deeply moving song about the struggles of a break-up. Despite efforts to work on the relationship, it becomes clear that there is nothing left to say or do. She makes the decision to move on.

Even though her message seems clear, she feels like the other person isn’t listening and can’t let go. The song truly captures the feeling of closure and the heartache that often accompanies the end of a relationship.

Noah-Jazz

The 25-year-old Noah-Jazz from Haarlem, The Netherlands is a 'creative powerhouse'.

At early age, he created visual art and video and soon he decided to pick the rusty guitar from the attic to play and write his own compositions.

Inspired by the old rebellious youth of the 50's, he soon started his first rock and roll band. With this band he made his first steps on stage. He rapidly felt at ease and soon he performed more than fifty shows in a year around Haarlem and Amsterdam.

He joined a regional psychedelic rock/grunge band and broadened his horizon even further.

They played at several main stages (like the Patronaat, Maloe Melo and The Wolfhound).

After a deep long depression, he decided to leave his hometown and started to travel with just little money and his guitar. He left for Venice where he quickly touched base  with local buskers. This group of free spirits taught him the tricks of life as a street musician and with this experience Noah-Jazz traveled for a year as a ‘troubadour’ in southern Europe and North-Africa.

After a year he realized that music is the only thing that will keep him alive and he decided

to return to the Netherlands to get serious on a music career. However, being back, he again struggled with his demons, but at the same time he continued to develop as a musician, songwriter and his newfound passion; production.

In the last six months, Noah-Jazz has been able to find himself in better shape again. A new love for the ‘traditional sounds’ has inspired him to record new songs. As part of his E.P.

“Cabin Fever” the first track “Nothing” has been released on november 3rd.

Trio Bier

Trio Bier – They're Back!

They're back—Amsterdam’s own Trio Bier. They have survived a name change, a hiatus, a Greek tour, and a pandemic.

Over the years, they’ve played as a trio, a quartet, a sextet, a nine-piece band, and sometimes even with a full men's choir.

History of Trio Bier

Trio Bier – A Dutch Cult Classic

What started as a street orchestra in 1995 grew into a cult classic among Dutch-language bands like The Scene and De Dijk. Their debut album was produced by Thé Lau, and legendary Telegraaf music journalist Jip Golsteijn declared it one of the best albums of its time.

In 2011, readers of Het Parool voted Trio Bier’s most famous song, Amsterdam Oude Wolf, as the Anthem of the City of Amsterdam. The band received the award from Amsterdam’s mayor and devoted Trio Bier fan, Eberhard van der Laan. The song was officially crowned as Amsterdam’s new city anthem in Carré Theater.

Although the band frequently ventured beyond the capital, their biggest successes were celebrated in Amsterdam’s most iconic venues, including Paradiso, Kleine Komedie, and Vondelpark. They also hosted ‘Club Trio Bier’ nights for three years at De Nieuwe KHL and De Melkweg, where they shared the stage with emerging young talent, poets, writers, and fellow musicians.

That Trio Bier still exists today is a testament to their unwavering self-belief, their burning passion for their own repertoire, and the loyalty of their dedicated fans (and now, their fans' children).

Trio Bier is here to stay. Thanks to Feature Music, all their albums are available again. A new single is on the way, a football anthem is being recorded, and a whole new collection of songs is ready to be released.

Trio Bier currently consists of:
🎸 Roelf Ter Veld – bass, vocals
🎷 Koos Prins – saxophone, piano, vocals
🎶 Rini Dobbelaar – guitar, accordion, vocals
🎤 Jan Eilander – lead vocals

But tomorrow, that lineup might just change.

Jasper Schalks

"Everything sounds as if they've never played anything else. Above all, the joy radiates from the stage. You can see it in their expressions, the wide smiles, and the blissfully closed eyes here and there—these people wouldn't want to be anywhere else."

Born in 1994, Jasper Schalks is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from North Holland, now based in Amsterdam. His music can best be described as pure americana, reminiscent of Neil Young's Harvest or Ryan Adams' Heartbreaker. Not driven by a need to be original or groundbreaking, but with the goal of writing powerful and beautiful songs.

This fall, Jasper & band will release their debut album Stand This Storm, recorded at Electric Monkey Studios in Amsterdam.

"With his deep, warm voice, he brings the small audience in Simplon to complete silence. When he asks them to sing along to the gospel song Take Your Burden to the Lord, it seems a bit too much at first—but in the end, Schalks wins everyone over."

3 Point Landing

A genre of its own, 3 Point Landing’s sound is described as a mix of alternative, synthesizer rock, electronic pop, and indie grunge.

The band was founded in 2017 in Alkmaar by Dora van den Berg (vocals, keytar), Tim Commandeur (bass), and Emiel Schumacher (drums). As soon as the trio came together, fireworks ignited. They quickly swapped the guitar for a keytar, creating a grand, immersive, and synth-driven signature sound. Their influences include Twenty One Pilots, Imagine Dragons, Muse, and Depeche Mode, as well as cinematic composers like Hans Zimmer.

Between lockdowns, 3 Point Landing recorded their music with the support of a successful VoordeKunst campaign. The album, self-produced alongside Ferry Dinkelaar at Wiserock Sound Studios, is titled Shadow Work, referring to the psychological process of confronting one’s darker self. Rather than suppressing these inner shadows, the album embraces and expresses them. Each track exists in its own world, exploring deep themes like social pressure, inner demons, manipulation, authenticity, and self-love.

"Shadow Work" plays like a dark fairytale. In a forest of brooding electronics, vocalist Dora van den Berg searches for light, powerfully backed by the talents of Tim Commandeur and Emiel Schumacher. As a trio, they navigate treacherous paths, fend off monsters, and banish ghosts, blending clear song structures with experimental elements—ultimately reaching a climactic harmony between light and shadow.

Cinnr_

Welcome to a world of delusions, Where you forgot what it means to be, Where we all lost touch of reality, Everything here has faded,
A world of in-betweens,
A world of rage and confusion.

cinnr_ was brought to life to give space to the heavy and paralysing emotions we all know too well but never speak about.
An attempt to translate the void held by a tainted heart through frequencies and lyrics, in the hope to let the outsiders know that they’re not alone,
in the hope that this music will bring life to the ones that claim to have given up, in the hope of some good fun within days of despair.
A weird concoction between, (post)Punk, Grunge, Hip-Hop & elements of Dnb the best way to describe this music is:
Extroverted music for depressed fucks.
⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸺

cinnr_ is the brainchild of artist, Noah-Jazz Litampha.
After over a decade of going through long stretches of deep depressions and strong suicidal tendencies the artist had to find an outlet to express these feelings & experiences.

His journey in music production started at the very start of 2020, throughout the lockdown he has been trying to perfect his craft as a producer while battling with his inner demons.
The result of the past 3 years of intense ups and downs have ben encapsulated within the upcoming album.

The artists hopes that by sharing the experiences he went through and putting his heart on the table, flaws and all, others that are going through similar aches can find some sort of comfort and solace within the music.

The majority of the songs have been written and recorded in these moments of deep despair.
After and within long nights of insomnia where the predominant thought was to take his own life.

“ I purposefully used the vocal takes where I was actually leaking tears onto the microphone instead of trying to redo it all to perfect it. Transmitting the emotion is more important to me than nailing a take and making it all pitch
perfect “

The upcoming album consists of 10 songs that express different shades of the artists mental instability. Some pretend to be happy and upbeat, not unlike how we often pretend to feel fine ourselves in our daily commutes.
